Job summary

Dow Inc. in Plaquemine, LA, seeks an Associate Analytical Technician to provide analytical data for product release and process optimization within MPQ labs.

You will perform routine and non-routine analyses using GC, titrations, and spectrometry; document results with OpenLab CDS; follow EH&S, ODMS, and AWP procedures; and contribute to a collaborative team with rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate's degree in a science discipline (at least 20 hours in chemistry) or 3+ years of military experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Able to work in an empowered team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 12-hour rotating shift with overtime for plant needs and lab vacations/absences.
• Weekend and holiday availability.
• No travel routine required.
• Must possess or be eligible for a TWIC card.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analyses on analytical equipment (GC, titrations, spectrometry).
• Document, communicate, and archive results using IT tools and OpenLab CDS.
• Understand and execute EH&S, ODMS, AWP procedures and policies.
• Monitor analytical systems.
• Work in a team environment, showing leadership through personal excellence and safe work habits.
• Demonstrate strong technical skills and willingness to learn new automation technologies.
