MPI is partnering with a 100% employee-owned commercial general contractor expanding in Phoenix, seeking a Construction Assistant Project Manager who will quickly grow into the next Project Manager within one year.

You will oversee all facets of projects, interact with owners and subcontractors, attend meetings, and deliver bi-weekly updates, with a path to Project Manager and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction-related field (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture)
• 1–3 years of Assistant Project Management experience
• Hard working and motivated
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Client facing
• Ground-up construction, $20M+
• Self-Perform exposure: Carpentry, Demolition, Concrete

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facets of projects including construction, schedule, required reports and financial aspects, and interactions with architects, engineers, tradesmen, subcontractors and owners.
• Interact directly with project owners as required, including meetings with partners and project managers.
• Bi-weekly project updates with the entire team.
• Work closely with owners for bid preparation and proposal development.
• Communicate and interact with sub-contractors and component suppliers such as concrete, steel, joist, precast and masonry.

My client is looking for their next Construction Assistant Project Manager to come in and quickly grow into their next Project Manager within one year.

• My client is a 100% employee-owned commercial general contractor and construction manager that has been building throughout the Southwest since expanding into Arizona in the mid-1980s.

Description

• This individual will oversee all facets of projects including the physical construction, schedule, required reports and financial aspects as well as interacting with architects, engineers, tradesmen, subcontractors and owners.
• Interact directly with project owners as required including attending meetings with partners and project managers.
• Bi-weekly project updates with entire team.
• Work closely with owners as needed, including walk-through' s, for bid preparation and proposal development.
• Communicate and interact with sub-contractors and component suppliers such as concrete, steel, joist, precast and masonry.

Profile

• Degree in a construction related field (Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture)
• 1-3 years of Assistant Project Management experience - want someone they can help shape
