Michael Page seeks an experienced senior leader to head a division for a national General Contractor in Southern California, overseeing projects from inception to completion with a strong emphasis on growth and client value.

The role requires 10+ years in construction PM or as a project executive, with a proven ability to guide teams of 15–20 and manage multi-trade knowledge. A competitive base salary up to $230k plus comprehensive benefits awaits the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Construction Project Management or as a project executive.
• Experience leading teams of 15-20 people.
• Working knowledge of skilled trades and construction methods.
• Proficient in reviewing all construction documents and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct projects from start to finish.
• Direct supervision of project administration staff and engineers; coordinate with superintendents.
• Forecast, track, and report project costs and revenues against estimates.
• Resolve labor, staffing, materials, equipment, and subcontract issues.
• Assist with pre-qualification, RFP/RFQ responses, and selecting project delivery method.
• Coordinate with Safety Manager to meet safety goals.
• Develop relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and PMs.
• Maintain project documentation (RFI logs, change orders).

Description

• Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish
• Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and construction engineers, as well as works in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities
• Responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and adherence to project estimates
• Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment and contracts/subcontracts administration
• Assist with pre-qualification process for bidders, develop and solicit responses to RFP's/RFQ's, assist the owner in selecting the appropriate project delivery method
• Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety goals
• Develop strong relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers
• Maintain appropriate documentation through project such as RFI logs and change orders

Profile

• 10+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or recent experience as a project executive
• Experience leading teams of 15-20 people preferrably
• Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
• Have experience in multiple fields of construction
• Working knowledge of construction technology and details
• Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
