Job description

The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the building process, working closely with engineers and architects to develop plans, and communicating with Superintendents to ensure quality, budget, and time frame meet the client's standards.

Description
  • Create and manage the project budget, ensuring accurate assignment of cost codes.
  • Develop and mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
  • Review project RFIs and provide the architect with recommended options.
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule, overseeing all change requests.
  • Demonstrate expertise in leading subcontractor project meetings.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among subcontractors.
  • Support business development by maintaining positive client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure quality standards and enforce the project safety plan.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and Project Engineer to ensure timely project deliverables.
  • Oversee the buy‑out process and manage project closeout procedures.
Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, managing multiple projects at a time
  • Multifamily project experience
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction technology and details; candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
