Job summary

Michael Page US is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager/Project Executive in Indianapolis, IN to lead complex, multi‑million-dollar projects from initiation to close. You will direct PM staff, coordinate with superintendents, and ensure budgets, schedules, and safety goals are met.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in construction project management or as a project executive.
  • Deep knowledge of skilled trades such as carpentry, masonry, concrete, plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
  • Experience handling projects over $25M and leading PM teams.
  • Proficient in reviewing construction docs, specs, and drawings.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish.
  • Directs project administration staff and collaborates with superintendents to set priorities.
  • Forecast, track, and report project costs and revenue against estimates.
  • Resolve issues around labor, materials, and contracts/subcontracts.
  • Assist with bidder pre-qualification and RFP/RFQ responses.
  • Coordinate with Safety Manager to meet safety goals.
  • Support interview process and onboarding of new employees.
  • Develop relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and PMs.
  • Maintain RFI logs, change orders, and project documentation.

Job Description
The Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and directing projects from start to finish
  • Directs and supervises work of project administration staff and construction engineers, as well as works in partnership with project superintendents to establish operational priorities
  • Responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and adherence to project estimates
  • Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment and contracts/subcontracts administration
  • Assist with pre-qualification process for bidders, develop and solicit responses to RFP's/RFQ's, assist the owner in selecting the appropriate project delivery method
  • Coordinates with construction Safety Manager to ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established safety goals
  • Assist with interview process and on boarding of new and potential employees
  • Develop strong relationships with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Assistant Project Managers
  • Maintain appropriate documentation through project such as RFI logs and change orders

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Applicant:

  • 15+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or as a Project Executive
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
  • Have experience in multiple fields of construction
  • Experience working on projects over $25 Million
  • Working knowledge of construction technology and details
  • Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Bring Business Development Opportunities to the team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Good time management skills
  • Experience leading a team of Project Managers and field staff at all levels
