Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Wrigley Building in Chicago to support the store manager in daily operations, guest service, staff management, and the execution of sales strategies.

In this role you will coach Bear Builders, manage scheduling, stock, and merchandising, and uphold safety and brand standards while driving an exceptional guest experience in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of store management experience in retail.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in directing daily assignments and staff priorities.
• Lead and coach team during shifts, ensuring policy adherence and guest satisfaction.
• Drive sales as Floor Leader and maintain a welcoming store layout.
• Oversee inventory receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Support recruiting and staff development.
