Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager, drive Guest experience, and lead a team of Bear Builders.

You will handle staffing, scheduling, training, merchandising, and inventory while ensuring policy compliance and executing sales strategies to meet targets.

This role requires a passion for customer service, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric setting.
• Strong leadership and coaching ability.
• Experience with scheduling and staffing.
• Familiarity with POS and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief Workshop Manager in daily assignments and operations.
• Assist in hiring decisions and staff development.
• Lead shifts, ensure policy compliance, and maintain safety and security.
• Drive sales through coaching and delivering an exceptional Guest experience.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory, and store visuals.
