Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop in Cherryvale Mall, Rockford, IL, is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in operations, guest service, staff management, and executing sales and marketing plans.

You will lead shifts, assist in hiring, coach Bear Builders, manage inventory, ensure displays meet brand standards, and help build a high-performing team focused on an Experience First guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric environment.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to use POS, scheduling, HRIS and time/attendance tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and priorities.
• Participate in hiring decisions and staff development.
• Lead and motivate the team during shifts and uphold policies and standards.
• Drive sales through coaching and creating a positive guest experience.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory, and store safety compliance.
