Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop in San Antonio is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in operations, guest service, staff management, and executing sales and marketing strategies. This role is vital in driving the store's success while maintaining a positive experience for Guests and associates.

You will lead shifts, coach Bear Builders, help with hiring decisions, and ensure displays meet brand standards while maintaining safety and inventory control.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric retail.
• High school diploma.
• Basic understanding of store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in determining associates’ daily assignments and directing work.
• Assist in hiring and promotion decisions with feedback and recommendations.
• Lead and inspire your team during shifts, enforcing policies and standards.
• Drive sales by coaching Bear Builders and delivering an Experience First culture.
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards and maintain inventory control.
• Oversee safety, cash handling, and store operations with independent judgment.
