Job summary

Child Saving Institute in Omaha, NE seeks an Assistant Teacher - Early Head Start to join our Mary Holland Campus. This full-time role supports daily classroom activities, provides a safe, nurturing environment, and contributes to healthy development through structured learning.

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. Requirements include 1+ year in early childhood education, CDA or higher, First Aid/CPR, strong communication, and being at least 19.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in early childhood education or child development.
• Strong communication between staff, clients, and caregivers.
• Observant of individual developmental stages in children.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain upon hire).
• Knowledge of child developmental stages, classroom management, and licensing requirements.
• At least 19 years of age and possess a CDA credential OR equivalent (or be willing to complete CDA within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily classroom activities.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment and foster healthy development through structured learning.
• Engage children in age-appropriate lessons and social interactions.
• Maintain daily records related to each child’s care and progress.
• Communicate with parents and facilitate conferences.
• Ensure a safe, structured, and organized learning environment.
