Job summary

The role emphasizes supervision, documentation of progress, effective communication with families, and maintaining a calm, organized classroom. Minimum 1 year in ECE, a CDA or pursuing one, and First Aid/CPR certification preferred; 19+ with licensing steps possible.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in early childhood education or child development.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain certification).
• At least 19 years old and hold a CDA credential OR equivalent (12 higher education credits in ECE/child development) OR willing to complete CDA within 12 months.
• Strong communication with staff, clients, and caregivers.
• Knowledge of child developmental stages, classroom management, and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily classroom activities.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for young children.
• Foster healthy development through structured learning.
• Keep daily records related to care and progress of each child.
• Communicate effectively with parents and facilitate conferences.
