Job summary

Child Saving Institute in Omaha, NE is seeking an Educational Aide at Mary Holland Campus. The role supports early childhood education, assisting classroom staff and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for young children.

Shift options are Mon-Fri, 11-3 or 2-6, with starting pay at $16.00 per hour. This position offers hands-on development support and the opportunity to contribute to children's growth and learning daily.

Qualifications

• At least 19 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong communicator with staff, children, parents and caregivers.
• Open to learning about developmental stages and quality childcare standards.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules and program manuals.
• Able to write daily reports and support lesson plans.
• Able to establish effective relationships with children, parents and co-workers.
• Able to safely support children’s physical needs during daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom staff and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for young children.
• Engage with children during daily routines and learning experiences.
• Keep daily records related to the care of each child.
• Provide direct, interactive supervision of children in classrooms, on field trips and outdoors.
• Support lead educators and classroom staff in hands-on activities and routines.
• Promote self-help skills and independence in children.
• Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers during drop-off, pick-up and updates.
• Interact respectfully with children, parents, caregivers and team members.
