Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the community job site management for home construction and to provide excellent customer service.

The role requires inspecting homes, coordinating inspections, managing subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The candidate will work with a Fortune 500 homebuilder, with responsibilities including daily site reviews, homeowner walks, and collaboration with the Superintendent to maintain schedule,

Qualifications

• Six months to 2 years of related experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among construction sites day and night.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and construction documents.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure workmanship quality and production schedule.
• Schedule and walk all inspections with inspectors.
• Walk completed homes before homeowner walk-through and closing sign-off.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and homeowner satisfaction walks.
• Assist Superintendent in managing subcontractors and cost control.
• Enforce site safety program and compliance with codes.
• Enforce cleanliness standards at communities and jobsites.
• Support construction materials management to prevent damage and theft.
• Contribute to delivering high quality products on time and within budget.
• Provide superior customer service during all construction phases.
• Build positive relationships with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Develop knowledge of building codes, materials, and scheduling.
• In Superintendent's absence, maintain schedules and guidelines.
