Job summary

Burns & McDonnell, based in Wallingford, CT, seeks an Assistant Structural Engineer to assist licensed engineers on a range of projects including power, healthcare, airports and industrial facilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structural design from concept through design completion.
• Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for diverse facilities.
• Assist in designing structural components per project needs.
• Apply fundamental structural engineering concepts and codes.
• Assist with data collection, CAD updates, and project documentation.
