Job summary

Total Wine & More in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help grow our brand through best-in-class service and a distinctive world of offerings. You will support store operations, develop the sales culture, and drive profitability while reporting to the Store Manager.

You will recruit and develop a sales-focused team, oversee payroll and inventory, and ensure compliance with alcohol regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years in retail; 2+ years in a managerial/supervisory role.
• Experience leading a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and meet key performance metrics.
• Recruit, train, and lead store team with ongoing development.
• Oversee payroll, inventory, merchandising, and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and foster a welcoming store atmosphere.
• Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with alcohol laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
