Job summary

Total Wine & More in the United States is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand by delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming, knowledgeable store atmosphere. You will report to the Store Manager and lead a sales-focused team while ensuring compliance, inventory control, and effective vendor relationships.

The role requires 1–3 years in retail management, a willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends, and a 21+ age requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience in retail, with 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving issues promptly.
• Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe store environment.
