Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Philadelphia team to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, supervise associates, and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior store management experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform repetitive lifting and movement
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned*
