Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the team. In this part-time role at our Exton, PA location you will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, payroll and scheduling tasks, and uphold company policies while maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment.

You will also support supervisors in training, organize stock areas, protect assets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store cleanliness and safety.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash, and follow policies and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
