Job summary

Family Dollar in High Point, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, deliver strong customer service, and develop the team. You will oversee store functions, inventories, schedules, and safety while maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and staff.

You will lead by example, manage payroll and scheduling, ensure compliance with policies, and drive store performance through effective supervision and training.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
