Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily functions, organizing and transferring merchandise, and helping with opening/closing procedures to maintain a high standard of store presentation.

The candidate will help supervise and trainStore Associates, ensure a safe and friendly environment, and uphold company policies while supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and common areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
