Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, supervise Associates, and ensure a welcoming, efficient shopping experience.

Key duties include handling opening/closing procedures, processing directives, organizing merchandise from delivery to floor, and maintaining safety and store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from truck to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash handling.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
