Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will assist with day-to-day activities, ensure excellent customer interactions, and help maintain displays and stockrooms to company standards. The role includes opening/closing procedures, processing directives, payroll/scheduling duties, and coaching Store Associates to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail/store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas in stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
