Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Greenville, SC store leadership team. You will partner with the Store Manager to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales, and maintain merchandising standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role emphasizes coaching partners, managing operations, scheduling, and implementing policies while upholding Boot Barn values and community engagement with guests across the local market.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, providing coaching, actionable feedback, and recognition of excellence; be present on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Implement and maintain an environment of continuous learning and assist with partner training plans to improve store performance in both operational and merchandising areas; develop individuals for career progression.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs; adjust schedules, implement directives, and train staff on new policies and procedures; communicate with District/Region teams.
• Assess and communicate localized customers’ needs to Store Manager.
• Plan and execute events to drive volume and engage the local community/market.
• Lead and coach associates in customer engagement through Boot Barn Credit Card and Loyalty Programs; drive achievement of goals.
• Ensure stock levels, merchandising adjacencies, presentations, signing, and assortments meet customer needs and company guidelines.
• Oversee markdowns and timely processing of receipts; partner on shrink control with store team.
• Maintain product knowledge across categories and train partners accordingly.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and comply with Time and Attendance policy.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork.
• Handle additional duties as assigned by District Manager or Store Support Center partners.
