Job summary

Boot Barn is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Concord, NC to partner with the Store Manager in driving sales, delivering exceptional service, and coaching the team on merchandising and operations. You will lead by example on the sales floor during peak hours, train associates, manage schedules, assist with interviews, and ensure policy compliance while upholding Boot Barn values and community focus.

With a focus on local outreach and loyalty programs, you’ll help execute volume-driving

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management.
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility with scheduling and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, providing coaching, feedback, and recognition of excellence; lead on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Implement and maintain ongoing training plans to improve store performance across operations and merchandising; develop team members' career goals.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on scheduling, interviewing, hiring, and communicating with District/Region teams.
• Assess and communicate localized customer needs to Store Manager.
• Plan and execute volume-driving events involving local community outreach.
• Lead and coach associates in customer engagement through loyalty programs and meet individual/team goals.
• Ensure merchandise stock levels, presentations, and signings meet brand guidelines and customer needs.
• Manage markdowns, receipts processing, and shrink plan coordination with Store Manager.
