Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Murphy, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, service, store appearance and operations. This role leads the team during the Store Manager’s absence and drives customer service excellence.

You will collaborate with the store manager to set goals, coach staff, manage schedules, and ensure accurate processing of orders, transfers and invoicing. Growth opportunities exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and execute service programs.
• Ensure adequate staffing at the sales counter during peak hours and shifts.
• Assist the store manager in setting goals, coaching and mentoring team members.
• Ensure phone calls follow company policy and procedures.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner.
• Manage outside purchases and special orders efficiently and according to procedure.
• Handle returns and exchanges with accurate refunds and proper invoicing.
• Ensure all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store and manage security checks.
• Coordinate Zipline messages and delegated merchandising tasks; enforce schedules and clock-ins/out.
