Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and ensure a clean, safe and presentable store.

The role demands strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including opening/closing duties and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organization and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and stock merchandise from delivery to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
