Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention to ensure a smooth, welcoming shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking/standing
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Ensure bathrooms and store areas are clean and presentable
• Support other duties as assigned
