Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and support a high-energy team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You will participate in opening/closing procedures, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store is attractive and organized.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store environment in line with company standards.
