Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to maintain a clean, customer-first store environment and to support the Store Manager with supervision of staff, merchandising, and deposits. You will perform stocking, cashiering, and other duties to maximize profitability and protect assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or strongly preferred.
• Retail supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret documents and policies.
• Cash handling and deposit knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Follow procedures for receiving, stocking, merchandising, and building displays.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
• Assist in planogram implementation; ensure merchandise is presented per standards and Store Manager direction.
• Assist in cash control: authorize refunds/overrides, count tills, deposit money; support store financial integrity.
• Assist with store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
