Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-first store. Under the Store Manager's direction, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, deposits, and paperwork while protecting assets and reducing losses.

The role includes staffing, training, cashiering, inventory control, and planogram maintenance to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Equal opportunity employer; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service leadership and problem solving.
• Experience supervising store employees or teams.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle transactions.
• Knowledge of merchandise stocking and planograms.
• Ability to train employees and enforce policies.
• Familiarity with financial integrity, cash control and deposits.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership and assist customers at checkout.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Follow processes for receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, reduce damages, and manage markdowns.
• Support planogram implementation and merchandise presentation as directed.
• Ensure cashier accountability and proper cash handling procedures, deposits, and refunds.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager's absence.
