Job summary

At Home is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Operations to aid the Store Manager in leading large-format store performance. You will drive store operations, coaching the Zone Lead team and Operations Leads to deliver an exceptional experience for customers and Team Members.

You will hire, develop, and coach a high-performing team, oversee staffing and payroll accuracy, and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards while focusing on efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in big-box or high-volume retail.
• Experience leading 20+ Team Members and managing $5M+ annual revenue.
• Knowledge of freight processes, inventory control, stocking, and merchandising.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
• Customer-focused mindset with a track record of excellent in-store experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of store operations to meet sales, profit, and performance goals while delivering a customer-focused shopping experience.
• Attract, hire, and develop talent; build internal bench strength for long-term growth.
• Coach and develop team to support internal career growth and operational excellence.
• Plan staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy while using financial and operational metrics to drive profitability.
• Oversee operations including opening/closing, front-end processes, and accuracy.
• Direct freight, inventory, stocking, and merchandising to maintain in-stock conditions and a clean store.
• Lead efforts in customer satisfaction, shrink control, safety, loss prevention, and cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and laws; promote a positive, safe environment.
