Job summary

At Home is hiring an Assistant Store Manager - Merchandising to support the Store Manager in driving merchandising and store operations in a large-format retail setting. You will develop the Zone Lead team, ensure in-stock conditions, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The role emphasizes coaching, scheduling, and leveraging data to improve sales and store performance while modeling At Home's values and ensuring a safe, organized environment for Team Members and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a big-box/high-volume retail environment.
• Experience leading teams of 20+ and managing $5M+ in annual revenue or budget.
• Knowledge of freight processes, inventory control, stocking, and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Drive store operations to meet sales, profit, and performance goals.
• Lead merchandising transitions, resets, and product changes.
• Develop talent, build internal bench strength, and succession plans.
• Staff planning to align with labor models, scheduling, and payroll accuracy.
• Oversee visual integrity, store cleanliness, and product presentation.
• Manage safety, loss prevention, and inventory control.
• Lead team communications through regular huddles and meetings.
• Address team and customer concerns with urgency and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
