At Home is seeking an Assistant Store Manager – Operations to partner with the Store Manager in leading operational, financial, and team functions within a large-format store. You will drive performance, manage staffing, and ensure a safe, high-performing environment for customers and Team Members.

The role emphasizes coaching 20+ team members, overseeing freight and inventory, and delivering an exceptional in-store experience while upholding company values and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership in big-box/high-volume retail.
• Experience leading 20+ Team Members and $5M+ revenue.
• Knowledge of freight, inventory, merchandising and store upkeep.
• Customer-focused with a track record of in-store excellence.
• Proficient in Office apps and scheduling/HRIS systems.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive store operations to meet sales, profit and performance goals.
• Hire, develop, and coach talent; build succession planning.
• Coach and develop teams; support internal career growth.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy.
• Plan and oversee operations, front-end processes and openings.
• Direct freight, inventory, and merchandising to ensure in-stock conditions.
• Lead store safety, shrink control, and cash handling.
• Address team and customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment aligned with company values.
• Lead regular team huddles and communications.
