J.Crew Group is opening a NEW STORE J.Crew Factory. As an Assistant Manager, you will lead a sales team, drive profitability through strong customer connections and brand loyalty, and support daily operations.

You’ll coach associates, assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling, and help curate an engaging shopping experience while upholding our standards and community presence. You should have 1-2 years of retail management, be flexible for nights, weekends and holidays, and lift up to 40

Qualifications

• Have 1-2 years of retail management experience with a similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director to impact business results with a meaningful connection to every aspect of the brand while maximizing profitability.
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling, etc.).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology while ensuring accountability.
• Assist Store Director with recruiting, training and development efforts, if needed.
• Partner with Store Director to curate a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team is on track to exceed goals and provide best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions that boost product knowledge for associates to elevate authentic customer connection.
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Can step into a variety of roles on the sales floor, if needed.
