Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Charleston to partner with the Store Manager and District Manager in driving strong store performance, coaching teams, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role covers merchandising, operations, and people development in a dynamic retail environment.

The position requires leadership experience in retail, flexibility to work varied shifts, and travel up to 15% to support local stores. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2–4 years of experience in retail store management.
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service and selling culture and exceed customer expectations.
• Review goals with partners, provide coaching and recognition, and lead on-floor presence during peak hours.
• Develop training plans and grow team performance across operations and merchandising.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on schedules, hiring, training, and policy communication.
• Maintain knowledge across product categories and coach partners in those areas.
• Assist with inventory management and ensure signage, stock, and displays meet standards.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and ensure policy compliance.
