Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading daily store operations, coaching a sales-driven team, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will help manage schedules, training, staffing decisions, and inventory while driving sales goals and community engagement.

The role emphasizes leadership, merchandising standards, and process improvement, with opportunities for growth and a competitive benefits package in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility with scheduling and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, providing coaching, feedback, and recognition of excellence; lead on sales floor during peak hours.
• Develop training plans to improve store performance across operations and merchandising; grow individual team members.
• Collaborate with Store Manager on staffing, scheduling, policy updates, and communication with District/Region teams.
• Plan and execute volume-driving events and community outreach.
• Coach associates in customer engagement and loyalty programs to achieve team goals.
