Job summary

Bath & Body Works in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in developing outstanding associates and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will lead day-to-day operations, coaching, staffing, and ensuring revenue growth through strong selling and service.

As a store leader, you will drive performance, manage payroll targets, and uphold our values while maintaining store standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication skills, open to feedback, and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce clear performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues.
• Support action plans with Sales Leadership Team to improve results and ensure execution of operations.
• Implement floorset direction to optimize the business and bring product stories to life.
• Perform opening/closing routines including deposits, shipments, and disseminating directives.
• Lead daily direction for the team and provide feedback and recommendations to managers.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and selling focus.
• Demonstrate selling behaviors rooted in company values and product knowledge to create exceptional in-store experiences.
• Uncover customer needs, share product information, demonstrate products, and make personalized recommendations.
• Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and customer experience.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain store appearance.
