Job summary

Bath & Body Works is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the United States to partner with the Store Manager in developing outstanding associates and delivering consistent, high-quality customer experiences. You’ll lead by example, coach teams, drive sales and store operations, and build a thriving, customer-first environment.

You will be responsible for hiring, setting performance expectations, and ensuring payroll targets are met while maintaining a welcoming and engaging store experience

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication and feedback skills; adaptable to change.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Availability for peak days and varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce performance expectations, goals, and accountability.
• Act as Manager on Duty as scheduled to address customer experience or operations.
• Partner with Sales Leadership to support action plans and execute tasks.
• Implement floorset direction to showcase products and drive sales.
• Open and close routines, manage deposits and shipments, and interpret directives.
• Set daily direction for the team and provide performance feedback.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and selling focus.
• Model selling behaviors and deliver exceptional in-store experiences.
• Create genuine customer connections and provide personalized product recommendations.
• Coach and motivate associates to improve selling and service levels.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies.
