Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Tennessee LLC in Dover, TN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, improve customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with inventory, merchandising, opening/closing procedures, scheduling, loss prevention, and training of Store Associates while keeping the store clean, safe, and welcoming for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and payroll/scheduling tasks.
• Maintain promotional displays and loss prevention practices.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged items.
• Train, supervise, and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe environment.
