Job summary

Goodwill of North Georgia seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, staff leadership, and customer/donor satisfaction. You will oversee hiring, training, and motivation of a front-line team, manage merchandise displays, and ensure financial performance aligns with budgeted targets.

You will work in a busy retail environment, interact with customers and donors, and lead a team through performance goals. This role requires flexibility and commitment to Goodwill's mission.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience supervising 15+ employees in food services, manufacturing, production or retail; or one year of supervision with Goodwill training.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Retail, Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, or Economics plus 1 year of supervisory experience in logistics, retail, warehouse, fast food, restaurants, B2B accounts or related fields.
• 4+ years of military service with supervisory experience in lieu of the above.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience with personal computers, POS or sell systems, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in hiring, training, motivating and supervising staff.
• Lead meetings and help meet customer and donor satisfaction standards.
• Maintain displays and merchandising presentations; ensure cash handling follows policy.
• Drive the store toward budgeted financial performance; ongoing training provided.
