Job summary

Carter's, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to be the first face of the brand for growing families in Canton, GA. You will lead a team, coach staff, and ensure a warm, inclusive shopping experience while driving sales and KPIs.

Responsibilities include workforce management, merchandising execution, and developing a high-performing team. A high school diploma or GED is required and one year of management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work a flexible schedule.
• Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Web navigation).

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and assist with product styles, features and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Model service standards and omnichannel experience while coaching others to success.
• Analyze the business and act to improve results by communicating and driving KPIs with the team.
• Build customer loyalty through company programs, including credit.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing the team.
• Recognize exceptional performance and redirect employees when needed.
• Plan, track, analyze, and report completion of tasks and financial results using company tools.
• Partner with Store Manager to plan merchandising standards, promotions, and product placement.
• Reduce loss through customer service, education, and operational controls.
