Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, manage merchandise flow, and uphold store standards.

The role involves supervising associates, training, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment while ensuring cleanliness and organized stockrooms and sales floors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays and losses prevention.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling and deposits.
