Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. The role requires leading a team, ensuring staffing during peak hours, and training team members.

The position emphasizes customer service, supervision of programs, and collaboration with management on hiring and schedules. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or store leadership preferred.
• Ability to coach and mentor team members.
• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise service levels at the showroom and execute customer service programs (Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, etc.).
• Work with the store manager to staff the sales counter during peak hours.
• Assist in hiring by coordinating recruiting tasks, interviews, and candidate selection.
• Answer phones per policy and ensure proper communication with customers.
• Ensure buy online/ship to store, transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely and communicated.
• Use outside purchase orders to manage special orders efficiently.
• Process returns and refunds accurately with correct payment methods.
• Invoice all merchandise before it leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Follow schedule adherence and secure the store after hours.
