Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, service, appearance, and operations. This role will lead the team in serving customers and manage the store during Manager absence or opposing shifts.

• Proven completion/certification in store-management related programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service for retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the showroom and ensure team execution of programs.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to staff during peak hours and manage scheduling.
• Assist the Store Manager in setting team goals, coaching, and tracking training progress.
• Participate in recruiting tasks: interviews, candidate evaluation, and selection decisions.
• Answer phones according to company policy and maintain professional communications.
• Oversee buy online/ship to store and inter-store transfers; notify customers on shipments.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds are issued correctly.
• Verify all merchandise is invoiced prior to leaving the store; manage policies and security checks.
• Support merchandising tasks, communicate Zipline messages, and monitor in-store displays.
• Ensure compliance with posted schedules and clock-in/out procedures.
