Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Centerville, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and lead the team to service customers.

You will help recruit and train staff, ensure efficient daily procedures, process shipments and returns, and uphold store standards. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, and the position offers a competitive

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…)
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends)
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, coaching/mentoring, and ensuring training is up to date
• Assist in the hiring process by recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members
• Manage telephone inquiries per company policy and ensure shipments/payments are processed timely
• Ensure returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled efficiently and correctly
• Oversee store opening/closing duties and security procedures
• Maintain store building, signage, lighting, and equipment to company standards
• All other duties as assigned
