Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead our retail store and donation center. You will support the Store Manager in creating a positive, productive environment for customers and employees.

You’ll help drive sales, staffing, training, and daily financial controls. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of retail management experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of retail management experience (or equivalent education/experience).
• Regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/walking for long periods.
• Some local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead store activities to ensure strong sales and production performance.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
• Train and develop staff in alignment with company standards.
• Review daily sales reports, deposits, and financial procedures.
• Coordinate product flow and shipments to meet inventory goals.
• Open and close the store and manage deposits.
