Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Massachusetts to drive sales, lead a sales-focused team, and oversee daily store operations. You will recruit, train, and develop staff, manage payroll and inventory, and maintain strong vendor relations while ensuring compliance with alcohol regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of work experience in retail.
• 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience leading, motivating and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team with ongoing development.
• Support day-to-day operations including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving issues.
• Maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives and ensure compliance with alcohol regulations.
