Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, appearance, and operations in Atlanta, GA. This role will lead the team during the Store Manager’s absence and on opposing shifts, ensuring excellent customer service for retail and professional customers.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged, with certifications in assistant management and RSS preferred to drive training and hiring.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification required or encouraged.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom including programs such as Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, coaching and mentoring, and ensuring training completion.
• Assist in hiring by recruiting tasks, interviews, and candidate evaluation.
• Ensure telephones are answered per policy and manage order processing and transfers.
• Oversee outside orders and invoicing; communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure returns, refunds, and exchanges are processed efficiently and purchases are properly documented.
• Perform opening/closing duties and security procedures, including deposits and store security.
• Maintain store building, signage, lighting, and equipment; support delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
