Job summary

Foot Locker in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the sales floor with energy and ownership. You will coach the team, drive sales, and ensure daily store operations run smoothly while maintaining exceptional customer experiences.

You will serve as Manager on Duty, support hiring and training, and help close performance gaps. This role requires flexibility and a hands-on leadership approach in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holding role.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and engage a diverse team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, self motivated, and ready to take ownership.
• Basic understanding of retail KPIs and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor with energy and solutions for customer interactions.
• Coach the team to deliver great service, share product knowledge, and maintain excitement to shop.
• Support sales goals by staying engaged on the floor and helping close the loop with customers.
• Help manage daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and floor coverage.
• Move with purpose to keep the store organized, customer ready, and running smoothly.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and SOPs to protect customers, teammates, and product.
• Take an owner/operator mindset by addressing issues and owning store execution.
• Leverage retail technology and digital tools to enhance the customer experience and support operations.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, providing leadership and direction.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Coach teammates in real time and recognize wins.
