Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Sun City, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store functions, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise transfers, opening/closing procedures, and help supervise and train store associates to maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked shopping environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and store management experience in retail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping.
